The Story Behind Skill x Swap
"I couldn't find what I needed, so I learned how to build it!"
When stepping away from full-time work due to health challenges, I wanted to keep learning, stay connected, and still feel useful in some way.
But every option seemed to come with barriers - either too costly, too time-consuming, too exclusive, or too formal.
I knew I had skills, and so did the people around me.
The problem wasn’t ability - it was access.
So I built Skill x Swap: a platform where people could trade knowledge freely, no gatekeepers, no red tape - just humans helping humans.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a global platform connecting learners, professionals, and organisations across 10+ countries.
Every swap, every connection, every conversation adds to a shared ecosystem of growth.
