What is Skill x Swap?
Skill x Swap is a global platform that helps people and organisations learn from each other through peer-to-peer skill sharing.
Whether you want to learn a new skill, teach something you know, or strengthen your workplace culture, we make it simple, social, and human-powered.
How does a swap work?
1. You create a profile and list the skills you can share.
2. Based on what you add, you'll match with other users, or you can browse other members’ profiles to find a skill you’d like to learn.
3. When both sides agree, a “swap” is created — you exchange knowledge and earn a credit once it’s completed.
What are Skill x Swap credits?
Credits keep things fair and flowing.
1 swap = 1 credit earned.
You can use credits to request new swaps or businesses can donate them to good causes through our CSR Credit Donation programme.
Is Skill x Swap free to use?
Yes — our Core plan is free and includes everything you need to learn, teach, and connect. Individuals have the option to upgrade to Lite Pro for £4.99 a month, that gives you 4 credits each month, plus priority listings.
Organisations can view our prices and add-ons on our Business Page.
Who can join Skill x Swap?
Anyone with a skill to share or something new to learn — individuals, small businesses, charities, or large organisations.
We’re open globally and support both local and remote swaps.
How does Skill x Swap support organisations?
Companies use Skill x Swap to:
Build internal peer-to-peer learning networks
Identify hidden capability
Strengthen cross-team collaboration
Embed social impact through donated skill credits
It’s a simple, human way to drive engagement, upskilling, and purpose — all in one platform.
How much does it cost for businesses?
We offer clear, size-based plans starting from ÂŁ149 per month for up to 25 people.
Every plan includes onboarding, global community access, and 1 free skill credit for each employee.
Optional reporting add-ons are available (ÂŁ50 per month or ÂŁ100 per quarter).
Can non-profits or charities use Skill x Swap?
Yes! Non-profits and charities can use Skill x Swap free for the first 3 months, and may also receive donated skill credits from our partner companies.
What’s the CSR Credit Donation programme?
It allows organisations to donate unused or purchased skill credits to charities, social enterprises, or community learners who need them most — creating measurable social impact through learning.
What are Impact Badges?
Impact Badges recognise organisations that actively share skills, contribute to communities, and demonstrate people-first values.
They can be displayed on company pages, LinkedIn, or internal comms to celebrate your contribution.
How does the Partner Programme work?
HR, L&D, and People professionals can partner with us to introduce Skill x Swap to their clients.
We also collaborate with strategic partners like CSR or employee-engagement platforms to integrate Skill x Swap into their offerings.
Is Skill x Swap suitable for hybrid or global teams?
Absolutely. The platform supports both in-person and virtual swaps, so teams across different locations can connect and learn together.
How do you measure impact?
We provide optional reporting that tracks:
Number of swaps completed
Skills shared and learned
Engagement levels
Hours of learning and community contribution
This data helps organisations demonstrate real impact — both internally and socially.
How secure is Skill x Swap?
We take privacy seriously. All data is stored securely, and we only collect what’s needed to deliver your experience. We’re fully GDPR-compliant.
How do I contact the team?
